Some top-rated news from Adam

Regular readers will know that I’m not prone to writing about myself. I’d much rather talk about you and your needs than waffle on about what I have been up to!

However, I had some exciting news earlier this month that I felt I had to share – mostly because I need to thank my clients who are entirely responsible.

Each year, The Times and the financial advice ratings site VouchedFor team up to produce a list of the UK’s top-rated financial advisers and planners. More than 130,000 verified client reviews are considered, and the guide highlights those advisers who:

  • Achieved an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 during 2019
  • Have received more than ten reviews
  • Are a fully verified member of VouchedFor.

For the second year running, I’m delighted to report that I’ve been included in this ‘top-rated’ list.

What does becoming a ‘top-rated’ adviser mean?

Many of the awards and accreditations in the financial services profession are based on technical knowledge or exam success. While these are an important measure of how capable a financial planner is, this ‘top-rated’ list is different as it is based entirely on the views of my clients.

To achieve a place on this list, my clients have provided almost universal five-star reviews for my service and my ability to help them to achieve their financial and life goals.

This is not an accreditation earned by sitting in front of a panel of industry experts, but by my real-world clients. Here’s an example from VouchedFor:

“Adam helped with the consolidation process and has subsequently provided financial planning advice aligned to my aspirations in retirement. I believe that we have made significant progress in simplifying my pensions arrangements and I am delighted with the direction that the new consolidated personal pension is moving.”

I have been very impressed with Adam’s ability to assess my existing arrangements and identify what I need to be doing to provide for my retirement. As my tax position has become more complex Adam has been able to assist in managing this in an efficient and extremely professional manner. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Adam to anyone considering engaging his services.”

Becoming a ‘top-rated’ adviser means both existing and new clients have the peace of mind that they are dealing with a trusted and reputable adviser. It means they can be confident that their adviser offers exceptional standards of service and delivers great outcomes.

A big thank you

As this top-rated status is based on client views, I’d like to say a massive ‘thank you’ to every person who took the time to write a review and to provide feedback.

Your kind words are greatly appreciated, and it helps me to reinforce the value of financial planning when talking to new clients.

Finally, if you have family, friends or work colleagues you think I could help, please don’t hesitate to pass my details to them. You can now do so confident that you are introducing them to one of the UK’s ‘top-rated’ advisers!

Foster Denovo triumph at Professional Adviser awards

February has been a busy month for accreditations and awards as my firm, Foster Denovo, also triumphed at the prestigious Professional Adviser awards.

For the second year in succession, Foster Denovo won the ‘Adviser Firm of the Year – London’ prize, reinforcing our position as the leading advisory service in the capital.

Professional Adviser editor Tom Ellis said: “It’s fantastic we are able to put on these awards to identify, honour and celebrate all the very best from our readers in the financial adviser community.”
